Its unique macro-porous design is able to remove impurities from water at a rate and capacity that are much faster than other products. 2. I guess you could look at Purigen as being a carbon alternative, as many people do use it in place of carbon. Carbon is much more indiscriminate in what it removes, so it tends to remove the good and the bad.
