Materials and methods Palicourea aeneofusca is a monofluoroacetate-containing plant causing sudden death in cattle. • Palicourea aeneofusca, containing 0.29 ± 0.17% of monofluoroacetate, cause poisoning in goats. • Vacuolization and necrosis of the renal tubular epithelium are observed histologically. • The kidney lesions are more severe than those reported in cattle.
