WebYes, it will work with the USB unifying receiver. It's included with the mouse, but my laptop has limited USB ports and I've used the Bluetooth connection exclusively. The USB cable is only for charging though. I don't think it's actually used to "connect" to the mouse, and I don't think the battery is replaceable.
