I had a 12.7 I ran for 7 years and every 200k miles I had to put a new turbo on the truck. I'd suggest getting a boost gauge on it if you really want to know if it is or not. But a turbo for them is only $850 and it wouldn't hurt to change it out now before it went BOOM !!!

Web20 dec. 2015 · If you're not building ANY boost, I can only think that the wastegates are not even trying to shut. check the two black looking canisters on the left side of the engine (passenger) there are 4 vacuum lines that go there on top and on bottom make sure the nipples aren't broken off. this is very common.
