If an author submits to an Elsevier journal that uses ATS but the Editor determines that the manuscript might be a better fit with one of our other titles, the Editor can invite the author to transfer their manuscript to one of those journals instead. WebIf you choose to decline a transfer at this point, you can follow a link within the decision letter to do so and your file will be closed. Likewise, if you don’t take any action regarding the offer, your file will remain closed.
