The unit was mostly organized by 16 to 17 years old boys and some fought in the war in the age of 13 years old. I have introduced them before in the battle of 「Tsuruga Castle」,but the military power had a huge gap and most of them died in the battle.

This cave is very famous as the place where Byakkotai (a unit of which, comprised of teenage Samurai at the Boshin War in 1868) hid themselves from a pursuer. After reinforcement work, most of the surface were covered, but were able to see a cave same as old days from two places on the way.
