They look like a real kit and they are supposed to play like a real kit, but I have never tried them. I have been looking for a mesh head kit, but this may be even better. It has an Alesis D4 brain. The shells should have foam inside from top to bottom with a wooden disk with a piezo attached to the bottom of it, then a layer of foam between the head and the disk. Definately older 'Muffins, like the kit I have. I modified mine with cross member triggers and mesh heads.
